Page Partners

To continue to build on this successful partnership initiated through the Mini Grant program, IDA Ontario is excited to support public libraries as they optimize their volunteer-supported reading programs to meet the needs of all children. These programs are grounded in reading science and aligned with the Ontario Human Rights Commission's Right to Read Inquiry.

Community libraries have the opportunity to reach readers who are historically underserved or have experienced past struggles with developing fluency and reading. Page Partners provides libraries with the opportunity to align their volunteer reading programs with evidence-based instructional strategies.

Why this matters?

  • Increase Literacy Rates – Implement science-backed literacy practices to support struggling readers.
  • Empower Librarians – Equip staff with knowledge and tools to foster literacy in their communities.
  • Strengthen Communities – Increased literacy rates leads to more engaged and informed citizens.
